10 - TRUTH

  • Truth…

To me, Truth serves 2 purposes. The first one is to expose and the second one is to set free.

It creates 2 different kinds of feelings inside of me.

The first feeling is a sort of apprehension as if scared that a light would shine on things I don’t want to show or confront or see. I speak about this specific aspect in the video.

In this section however, I’d like to talk about The Truth. Jesus said that: “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too.” John 14:6 TPT. Jesus is the Truth. And this is who He is to me!

God’s Truth is overwhelmingly wonderful. It heals, it relieves, it floods us in joy, in love, in rest, in peace, in Life, in Hope … It guides us, it is like a safeguard, it reassures, it is secure, it is steadfast, it defends, it confirms, it builds, it establishes, it is a firm foundation. God’s Truth is mighty and powerful.

And I believe that both aspects of Truth complete each other. On one hand Truth exposes the mess, the ugly, the wrong. But then, God’s Truth brings healing, love, restauration, freedom. It frees us from guilt, shame, from pain, from anger, and SO MUCH MORE.

I don’t think that there is much more that I could say about this subject, for Truth speaks for itself. Truth is a silent and gentle attribute from God that helps us break out of our chains and walk away from them free and whole.

I want to finish this section with these 2 bible verses that remind me why it is so necessary to walk in truth and why God wants us to walk in it as well. God has always been “for me” (Romans 8v.30-32). He wants what’s best for me (Romans 8.v.28)… and for you too. God loves you!

Be encouraged! You are so loved!

    John 8.v.32 TPT

Jesus speaks: “For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.”

    1 Corinthians 13:4-8 TPT

“Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.”
