1 - THE VISION

1 - THE VISION

  • Suffering and a life of sickness and handicap are hardly desirable realities in a persons’ life. But, I, Mel, through my walk with Jesus, learned amazing truths and revelations on this very specific road. This is also true for my whole family who had to deal with the realities this situation brought to us.

In a world where I fit into absolutely NO standards, where I do not look like anybody around me in any way, where I can’t follow someone else’s road, where everything is too high, too heavy, too fast, too pretty-perfect, too common, too big, too…

To have to live in a body that is so limited and slow with a brain or a mind that goes 300 miles a second in every direction…

I today am grateful and Thank God for creating 1 way for me to walk on; the One that follows HIM through life.

I did not want my pain to be for nothing and waisted away. I wanted to let God inspire me to use what He taught me through it all to help others in their own journeys, no matter what they go through.

Jesus gave me purpose, and everything I went through became a stepping stone to where God has brought me to today…and where He still is bringing me to …

With Him, nothing is waisted…if we would let Him redeem it.

It is also a reason of why I chose to study psychology so as to have a foundation and tools to help people walk their own difficult roads better equipped and less confused or hopeless/helpless.

    God’s vision for “Mel’s project”

This projects’ vision is like a filmed autobiography and introspective reflections or a “memoire” that I wish to leave behind me so that many could be blessed and through it, encounter God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit, the One who saved my life in every way.

I don’t know how long I will still be around in this life, but I wish to leave a legacy of Faith, hope, joy, authenticity and Salvation through my life’s story and what my Savior and Lord Jesus-Christ did. This is what this project is all about.

I want to encourage people that our hard trials are not abnormal, that a perfect and “happy sunny” life is not the main goal or normality for life and that EVERYONE goes through crappy seasons but don’t necessarily expose it nor talk about it.

Everybody faces hard things in life but I also know that we can walk out of them wiser, stronger, with more compassion, with more understanding, more love and yes … more Hope!

Most of us don’t know how to surf the waves of life and sometimes, it helps and gives some hope to know that we’re not alone to struggle through life’s adventures.

To hear how others went through their rough waters can inspire and help us all when we go through them, too. This is also why I chose to create this project, with God’s help, of course! ;)

We’re all on our way and I honestly believe that talking about our hard times to God and trusted people helps us heal and process everything that comes with them.

It is even possible to walk out of our hard times delivered from the trauma that would want to rob us from the pearls God wants to give us from them.

But we have to dare to be honest and vulnerable; we have to dare to confront the hard stuff, by being open about our inner and outer battles and most importantly, by letting God come into those very places.

We have to dare to go through the processes…we have to dare to walk The road. These decisions are often hard and we don’t want to make them, BUT… God gives us the promise to never have to walk those roads alone! He is with us in the deep waters and in the flames (Isaiah 43:2).

All in all, the vision is simple; I want to help people find faith, hope, love, life and joy in the midst of hard circumstances and point them to the One who saved my life; Jesus.

    With love,

    Mel
